About Our Blog

November 8th, 2008

This is my first blog.  I teach 5th graders in Alpharetta, GA.  I love using technology in my classroom and teaching my students how to use technology as they learn.

My goal with this blog is to encourage students to read, write and respond to what others have written in a real world context.  This blog will also serve as a journal of our learning as I upload pictures and more throughout the year. The students will create polls and will examine statistics and math concepts when looking at the results. We will explore geography with our clustrmap when our visitors check in.

Feel free to make comments after any of the students’ writing. Just click the word “comment” after you read. There is no need to put in an email address when it asks for it. All comments will be moderated by me (Mrs. Fairlie) before they are posted to the blog.

Hopefully, we will all have fun with this!
